The CPALMS website outlines the key learning goals for students. These goals, known as standards, are specific learning objectives that guide what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. The website helps students develop strong reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, following the Florida B.E.S.T. Standards. These standards ensure that your child is gaining the essential skills needed for success. The website also provides valuable resources and practice activities to support your child’s learning and help them become confident and successful readers and writers.

Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) Website - https://flfast.org/index.html
The Florida Statewide Assessments Portal is a website for families to learn about the tests the students will take in school. It explains the Florida Statewide Assessments (FAST, B.E.S.T., Science, and Social Studies), which determine how well your child is doing in certain subjects. For students with special needs, there are Florida Alternate Assessments (FAA) that are designed to match their learning needs in subjects like reading, math, science, and social studies. The site also has information about the ACCESS for ELLs test, which measures how well students who are learning English are improving. This website helps families understand the tests and how they support your child's learning. First graders do not take the statewide Science or Social Studies assessments, as these begin in later grades.
